Meet Karlene
As a Communications Specialist, Karlene supports public relations and communications efforts for several of our clients. She has experience in community relations, public involvement, and strategic communication that has helped advance essential projects in the biotech, energy, water, infrastructure, and construction sectors. Bilingual in Spanish, Karlene has more than five years of experience in the field and the know-how to build the kind of trust that moves projects, and the communities they touch, forward.
Those close to her often describe Karlene as grounded and driven. A San Diego native, Karlene has called the city home her whole life. When Karlene is not working, you can find her on a long walk, at a yoga class, reading, spending time with friends and family, or with her two cats.
Karlene earned her B.A. in Journalism, with an emphasis in Public Relations, from San Diego State University in December 2020. She served as Secretary for the PRSA San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter for one year and spent three years on its Communications Committee. In 2023, Karlene was named PRSA's New PR Pro of the Year.
